Fellows Construction Consultants have been appointed to provide cost consultancy services for McCarthy & Stone (Developments) Ltd, to include value and risk management, estimating and procurement services.
McCarthy & Stone are the largest developer of privately owned.
retirement properties in the UK, having constructed over 45,000 apartments nationwide in the last 30 years. Properties range from Assisted Living developments (which can provide flexible care and support services for occupants) to Retirement Living.
As part of this exciting commission, Fellows Construction Consultants have been tasked with reviewing current designs to provide value engineering advice on their ‘model build’ and standard construction details. As part of this remit, Fellows will be responsible for driving both value and thermal efficiencies into McCarthy & Stone’s standard construction whilst also reducing their exposure to risk in partnership with McCarthy & Stone’s preferred designers.
Through a mixture of workshops with the designers and key sub-contractors, site visits and market testing a variety of solutions, Fellows Consultants are thrilled to provide McCarthy & Stone with a bespoke service to meet their requirements and brief.
