Following a 30 month construction programme, Fellows are delighted to confirm the completion of Seven Capital’s ‘St Martins Place’ development, on which Fellows provided full Project and Cost Management services.
St Martins Place boasts 228 luxury apartments, spread across 3 towers, varying between 6 and 17 storeys. It is a marque scheme for both our client Seven Capital and Birmingham city centre, providing a new and unrivalled luxury environment for residents. Notable features include a ground floor cinema, gym and wi-fi café for residents, in addition to a 3rd floor communal garden. Adjacent to the Park Regis hotel, uniquely all residents benefit from access to the first-class services of the neighbouring Park Regis Hotel including an urban spa, food and beverage services and room cleaning. These innovative luxury dwellings offer an exclusive living experience, whilst at the same time offering stunning panoramic views of the second city.
Fellows were appointed following the purchase of the site at RIBA Stage 1, and proceeded to provide PM, EA, and QS services until completion. The scheme itself required the demolition and clearance of the existing Park Regis car park, enabling the commencement of works. The blocks were constructed using pre-caste concrete panels, which would include the production and assemble of panels at the sub-contractor’s Northern Ireland facility, to include external finishes, window assembly, BWIC and even a mist coat for the internal walls. This modern approach to procurement and assembly enabled the swift and safe construction on what is a relatively restricted site.
Working collaboratively with the Design Team and Contractor, Colmore Tang Construction, both Fellows and Seven Capital were able to successfully deliver the scheme, following the best efforts of all the team and despite the current Health Pandemic.
