With a busy end to the year 2020, we can now look back on what was achieved during December!
We are delighted to confirm the completion of Seven Capital’s ‘The Metalworks’ development, on which Fellows provided full Project and Cost Management services.
The Metalworks is a 6-storey new build residential scheme situated in Slough, Berkshire. This luxury development in the South East boasts 155 luxury apartments, distributed across 2 separate blocks, including a private basement car park. Located just minutes from Slough station, with a direct line into London, this development is highly desirable, and we hope it will prove to be popular with modern business professionals and executives.
Fellows were appointed following the purchase of the scheme at RIBA Stage 3, and proceeded to provide PM, EA, and QS services until completion. The scheme itself required the demolition and clearance of the existing buildings on site, enabling the commencement of works which included the excavation of a 3m deep basement, constructed via a sheet pile retaining wall and steel tubular driven piles. The blocks themselves were constructed using a steel frame with composite metal deck floors and the external envelope is formed of SFS and brickwork.
Working collaboratively with the Design Team and Contractor, Colmore Tang Construction, both Fellows and Seven Capital were able to successfully deliver the scheme before the end of the calendar year, following the best efforts of all the team and despite the current Health Pandemic.
