After a period of prolonged delay during 2020 as the result of Covid-19, we are pleased to see that works are now in full swing at The Grand Exchange, Bracknell.
The former Bus Depot at Market Street will be transformed into a luxury residential development consisting of 242 apartments and boasting unrivalled communal residential facilities, including a collaborative workspace, private dining facility, wellness suite, gym and orangery.
Working closely with the design team and Vascroft Contractors Ltd, both Fellows and Seven Capital were able to plan and procure this marque development via a two-stage tender process, allowing the Contractor and Client to achieve best value and meet a challenging construction budget.
Fellows were appointed following the purchase of the scheme at RIBA Stage 3, and have proceeded to provide PM, EA, and QS services to date. The scheme itself required the demolition and clearance of the existing buildings onsite, enabling the commencement of the works. The blocks themselves consist of an in-situ concrete frame and an external envelope comprising of a combination of Rock panel and render finish.
