We are delighted to confirm the completion of Seven Capital’s Nexus Point development on which Fellows provided full Project and Cost Management services, delivering the scheme on time and within budget.
Nexus Point is a 9-storey refurbishment scheme situated in Erdington, 12 minutes’ drive from Central Birmingham, making the accommodation highly attractive to working professionals due to its direct transport links into the City.
The project was a Permitted Development Scheme and comprised a full strip out of the 1960s office building back to the main structural frame, followed by a complete refurbishment creating a mix of 87 high quality studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. During the Construction period, a non-material amendment was submitted to the Local Planning Authority requesting approval to render the main elevations in order to make the building more aesthetically pleasing, as Nexus Point is one of the tallest structures in Erdington.
Associated works included creating a bespoke lobby area, replacing all the fenestration with high thermal efficiency double glazed units, rendering the main elevations, providing electric vehicle charging points, a cycle store and a complete replanting scheme for the soft landscaped areas.
“Fellows offer a best in class service from a dedicated team of highly qualified (construction) professionals. A hugely experienced team with a rounded knowledge base provides us with the confidence to focus elsewhere in our business. Immediately accessible and always with a solution they are a pleasure to work with”
