Work is progressing well on the refurbishment of the haematology ward at Royal Oldham Hospital on behalf of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
This work involves the strip out and remodelling of the existing reception area of the ward, including the refurbishment of a number of adjoining rooms and the main ward itself. This vital work is being undertaken by main contractor City Build Manchester, having been designed by Glancy Nicholls architects and SVM-BSD engineers to create a comfortable and calm area for patients and hospital staff alike. City Build have been able to continue work during the current pandemic in order to ensure the facility can be used by the NHS Trust.
Fellows were appointed by The Trust to provide Quantity Surveying professional services on this project.
