We are pleased to announce that in conjunction with our Client – Strata Housing – our Oakwood Extra Care Development in Wellington, Shropshire has received its final certification and a BREEAM rating of very good.
Description
This new build 63 unit extra care facility had a requirement for BREEAM 2011 Multi-Residential: ‘Very Good’. In coordination with the project team, the Fellows BREEAM Consultants were able to assess the proposed scheme and benchmark its performance against the BREEAM criteria. Fellows always recommend that their BREEAM consultants are appointed as early as possible within the design process, to ensure that all feasibility designs consider sustainability, achieve best value and meet the BREEAM criteria. In this instance, this holistic approach, which included early consultation, allowed for a scheme that fully embraced sustainability, but was also efficient in achieving cost effective BREEAM credits at the earliest opportunity for the development team.
