Fellows Scheme Achieves LABC Building Excellence Award

Fellows Construction Consultants are delighted to announce that one of our recent projects has been successful at the LABC Building Excellence Awards West Midlands 2017. The Oakwood Extra Care development in Shropshire contains 63 spacious apartments, residents’ lounge and restaurant, landscaped gardens and a view of the Wrekin.

Fellows acted as Employer’s Agent/Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, BREEAM Consultant and Principal Designer, delivering the project to the BREEAM Very Good standard. Fellows worked with long-standing Client Wrekin Housing Trust, Main Contractor McPhillips (Wellington) Ltd, Architect Munro Associates and M&E consultant Qoda Consulting to deliver a highly successful and award winning project.

The project achieved a Highly Commended Award for Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development alongside being a Finalist for Best Inclusive Building.

The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) is a non-profit organisation that represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales and these awards celebrate the delivery of outstanding construction and workmanship.

”Fellows are very proud to have led and been an integral part in this award winning project from inception through to completion. Fellows’ ethos is to provide Inspired Project Solutions, delivering the very best service to our customers and to be recognised by our peers in the industry for this service is most gratifying”.  Steven Handley, Director

“The proactive, collaborative and flexible approach that the team at Fellows endeavour to provide on our current schemes, has brought a refreshing outlook to the challenging environment of Extra Care development.
