Work continues at a pace at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute’s new teaching venue in Manchester.
The 1960’s building originally held gold bullion for the Bank Of England and the refurbishment works involve cutting through the internal security concrete walkway walls that are 1.3m thick in total.
Fellows are providing “One-Stop” Project Management services for this 12 week, 21,000sqft, £2.2 million project.
As well as general teaching space; office accommodation, drum rooms and Mac suites, a live room and two recording studios will be provided. Interior Design is by BKD who designed the original Haçienda nightclub and its subsequent conversion into flats.
